Hi all,
I have a pretty good life. Though some parts can be difficult at times (like nudgy students or bills, or dealing with the cable company), overall my life is really good. I have people who love me, care about me, and want to make me happy. My house is warm, despite the blizzard outside, and full of food. My cars work, and are fun to drive. I even got a few people from my life to fully fund my donorschoose for my school, so I get 4 new calculators and a charging station, and can make my classroom solar powered.
By practicing gratitude for these things, rather than worrying about the things that are hard or annoying, I can keep myself centered and balanced. It might also mean I can get past the difficulties with more ease. I think the hardest thing is patience. It always takes time to get things accomplished, especially when I want them the most. I'd like to have my charity funded and giving laptops to every student who needs one in CT. However, that requires funding and patience, and I don't always have the time to make things happen. I also need it to be a legit 501c3 charity, with a separate tax return etc. Then, maybe I can apply for funding with gofundme?
Anyway, hope you are all safe, warm and happy today. Have a great and hopefully gr8ful day!
~Mark
p.s. - another shameless plug: If you upgrade your electronics, please consider donating the old ones to my charity. I'll refurb them with linux and send them out to my students in need.
